A 64-bit OS and processor are required. The minimum GPU is modest for a 2026 release, but the 12 GB RAM floor and the SSD recommendation are the parts to watch — extraction games load zones often, and a hard drive will bottleneck your runs.
Can my PC run it? Quick checklist
- Desktop GPU from ~2016 or later (GTX 1060 / RX 580 class or newer): You meet the minimum. Expect playable framerates at 1080p, likely not maxed settings.
- 16 GB RAM or more: You hit the recommended bar comfortably.
- Integrated graphics only (no dedicated GPU): Risky — none of the listed minimum GPUs are integrated. You will likely struggle to launch or hold a stable framerate.
- Mechanical hard drive: Officially "strongly recommended" to use an SSD. Budget extra load time between runs even if your CPU and GPU clear the recommended tier.
- RTX 2070 / RX 5700 XT or better: You clear recommended and can push higher settings — useful in PvPvE where visibility wins fights.
Laptop notes
Many thin-and-light laptops ship 8 GB RAM — below the 12 GB minimum. If you are on 8 GB, expect stutter or failure to launch. Check your RAM before buying; the GPU is less often the bottleneck here than memory. A laptop with a dedicated GTX 1060-class GPU and 16 GB RAM will run the game far better than a newer iGPU machine with 8 GB.
Controllers & input
Mistfall Hunter supports both mouse-and-keyboard and controller input. Console players use their platform controllers; on PC, Xbox and PlayStation controllers work. Note that several launch-window bugs were controller-specific, especially on console menus — keep your client updated.
Platforms & crossplay
Mistfall Hunter is a simultaneous multi-platform release on PC (Steam, Windows), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with full cross-platform matchmaking. It is also a Day One title on Xbox Game Pass (both Xbox and PC Game Pass via Play Anywhere), so subscribers can play the base game at no extra cost. Console versions run on their fixed hardware and do not publish separate min/recommended specs.
